One of the tricky things about moving into a new home, especially a different sized one, is figuring out how the furniture will translate into the new spaces. With sectionals specifically, what might have worked great in your last space, could feel too big and clunky in your new one or it could be entirely too small. With the stress of moving, who really wants the added expense of needing to buy a new couch or sectional?
This was one of the changes Brooke faced when she recently moved into a new home. Luckily with her Home Reserve sectional, she was able to keep what she had and add on to it. Not only did this save her from needing a whole new sectional, but it also gave her a new look without investing too much work. Check out these before and after photos:
Brooke already had the Jovie Sectional in Archetype Quartz. It's a fairly good-sized sectional, looks great here in a sitting space.
After moving she added: A Cozy Ottoman, Modular Ottoman, and Lounger and removed a couple of pieces of her preexisting sectional to fit it in this space by the stairs. She created a more lounge-type sectional. One you can crawl up on, stretch your legs out, and snuggle back into. Here it is styled in one of her living spaces. We love how the ottomans and lounger created a very welcoming sitting space.
But wait... there is more!
Thanks to the versatility of her pieces, Brooke was able to move her sectional to a different space in her new home giving her yet another look while still creating a comfortable sitting area. Here she added back in her other sectional pieces, making a larger lounge-like sectional and now she is all ready for a cozy Christmas.
Are you inspired to adapt your sectional into something new? Consider adding different sized ottomans, a lounger, and switching up the pieces you already have. Let your sectional adapt to your family's needs. Happy rearranging!
